CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change refers to the destructive effects of global warming on our climate and weather systems. It is one of the greatest environmental issues of our time and its repercussions for the environment are worldwide. They include severe weather, extensive flooding, increased droughts, reduced crop yields, all leading to death, disease, destruction and displacement of peoples.

Global warming is primarily caused by increased levels of CO2 in the atmosphere as a result of humans burning fossil fuels. In order to avoid the catastrophic effects of climate change individuals and companies must control their carbon emissions to reduce the concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
